Rigging & Animation Shortcuts in Blender
Pose Mode (Armature):
- Ctrl + Tab → Switch to Pose Mode
- A → Select all bones
- Alt + R → Clear rotation
- Alt + G → Clear location
- Alt + S → Clear scale
- R / G / S → Rotate / Move / Scale bone
- Ctrl + P → Parent selected to active (e.g. mesh to bone)
- Ctrl + Shift + C → Add constraint (e.g. IK)
- Shift + I → Add Inverse Kinematics (IK) constraint
- Ctrl + Alt + A → Play animation
Animation (Timeline/Dope Sheet):
- I → Insert keyframe (Location/Rotation/Scale)
- Alt + I → Delete keyframe
- Shift + E → Add breakdown key
- Up/Down Arrow → Next/Previous keyframe
- Left/Right Arrow → Jump to previous/next frame
- Spacebar → Play/Pause animation
- Ctrl + Spacebar → Play animation in real-time
- T → Interpolation mode (Linear, Bezier, etc.)
- Shift + Left Click → Multi-frame select in Dope Sheet
Graph Editor:
- Ctrl + Click → Add new keyframe
- H → Hide selected curves
- Alt + H → Unhide curves
- Shift + E → Handle type menu (Auto, Vector, etc.)
Misc:
- N → Sidebar (properties panel)
- Shift + A → Add new bone or object
- Tab → Switch Edit/Object/Pose mode
